I’m not talking about dialysis or any other conventional detox. I’m referring to detox drinks / solution.

    Be grateful you.

different detox treatments are made to look as even if they work in different ways, so it really depends on what your using. but this can be a perilous symptom to see, go to a real doctor, your not going to get better by “removing toxins”

I worked in a health food store where we had an eight foot section of them….so close to 60 varietes of them…

And if anyone said they were starting to have hairloss, I would have told them “wow, thats not excellent, stop taking it and see a doctor pronto”

No, they shouldn’t do anything like that – poop and pee copiously, but lose hair, absolutely not.

You haven’t really undergone detoxification. These ‘detox’ drinks are a scam and they indeed don’t remove any made up toxins. They will not cause hair thinning.

EDIT: Ok Tony, exactly how does sage, chlorella and cilantro improve normal liver and kidney function, and how do they remove heavy metals? What is the evidence for this? Please provide the RCT data or are you just making this up?

You know full well ‘detox’ has no meaning outside of the clinical treatment for drug addiction and poisoning. Real treatment for toxic heavy metals requires chelation therapy.

If you noticed increased hair loss immediately after whatever you took for detoxing, it could well be a consequence, probably fleeting, of vitamins and minerals essential for hair health being removed by the detox product and process. Hair loss frequently occurs when a person has inadequate B vitamins – mainly B6, biotin, inositol and folic acid; and the minerals magnesium, sulfur and zinc. The B vitamins, mainly B5 (pantothenic acid and B3 (niacin), are mainly vital for hair growth.

A healthy diet and possibly the addition of a excellent whole foods derived multi-vitamin and mineral product and/or a excellent Vitamin B-Complex product may reverse your hair loss if it is due to nutrient depletion. If that does not work, see a doctor to find out what is going on.

The product you took may or may not be of much use, but do not listen to those who say toxins are “made up”. Since the turn of last century we have introduced nearly 100,000 chemical compounds previously not found in nature into our environment. Only about 1000 of them have been studied for safety and many of those which were studied have been proven to be harmful, including carcinogens. Many of our environmental toxins such as the heavy metals can accumulate in the body and are not easily eliminated through the body’s untreated detoxification process. Yes, here are a lot of detox and cleansing scam products out here, but that does not mean that the thought of detoxing and cleansing is not a valuable one.

Instead of spending your money on commercial detox products, consider using items such as sage, chlorella and cilantro to remove heavy metals and an occasional one day quick where you consume nothing but water, or watermelon or dark grapes with seeds. Doing that and eating lots of excellent raw vegetables and fruits and other fiber must help you stay plenty cleansed.

    All the best!

Can you tell us what you took?
It would be better if you could tell us so that i can answer better then without knowing the actual ingredients.

Detox pills, and detoxification and cleansing in general, are neither useful nor necessary unless you have had long-term narcotic use or are chronically constipated. Detoxification and cleansing has no proven medical repayment for the average person whatsoever. It will NOT help you lose any significant amount of stout.

The only thing that will help you lose consequence is a healthy lifestyle that consists of a proper diet and frequent exercise.

But if you really have an urge to spend all day in the latrine then place about 12 garlic cloves, 2 habaneros, 1/2 pound of sage, and about 2 cups of coconut milk in a blender. You will then spend all day experiencing the “ring of fire”.
